Her dark blue hair cascaded down to his face in a waterfall of soft caresses. He looked up at her blue green eyes in wonder. How the hell did I get so lucky?

Cyan rode up and down, moving her tight sheath against his shaft. She bent her head down to nibble his lips gently, grinding into him as she did. Up and down, she began again, more urgently this time. Her rhythm became more rapid and forceful.

He moved his hands to her firm ass and squeezed as he met her movements with his own. The sounds of his hips meeting her ass grew louder.

Smack, smack, smack.

“OH, OH, Ooohhh!” she cried.

“I’m with you, Honey,” he told her, moving even more forcefully. Their urgency peaked together, then the couple slowed their pace until they were simply holding each other, reveling in the sensation of moist, warm skin touching.

“Damn, that was hot!” he told her.

“Yes, Jonathan, that was hot,” she agreed, still having the occasional shiver.

“I could stay in bed all day,” he told her.

“So, could I. However, we have things to discuss,” she said, not moving from his chest.

“Okay, discuss away.” His hand absently stroked Cyan’s deep blue hair.

“Your power generation scheme is working very well. Your performance bonus plan has really struck a chord with our immigrant contingent. Dark elves from the more regressive houses and lower-caste djinn are getting paid well for doing what they were already being forced to do without compensation. Those mages are very aggressive with their scheduling. They’re taking less time between sources, finding satisfying ways to connect with their sources and get their sources to completion sooner. The mages are getting more requests and more consistent repeat business.”

“Not surprising, Cy.”

“It was to me. Bottom line is, the project is generating about 50% more mana than I projected, even if we’re only at 60% of McCurdy’s previous output. We could hit the goals, but that would leave the mages constantly empty of mana.”

“I think my idea for seeking more powerful sources will work out very well. Initial interest in Álfheimr and Underhill have been solid. One of my contractors has even worked out a route to get orcs here. That would be a serious coup for you.”

“There are orcs, too?” Jon exclaimed, jarred out of his reverie.

“Of course there are orcs, though I have no idea where Tolkien got those stereotypes. The way he wrote his stories, Tolkien must have met a bigoted elf.” Cy shook her head. “Orcs are very civilized and magical. Most of their magic is directed to their physical bodies, so their muscles are almost as dense as dwarves’, but they’re much bigger. These junkets will appeal to their very physical nature.”

“Why will this be a coup for me?”

“Just because they aren’t as capable spell-crafters as elves doesn’t mean they can’t do technology. Orc tech is probably slightly ahead of Earth’s in some ways—because they’ve incorporated some magic into their tech—and behind in other ways. Unlike elves, who rely on human tech and spell craft on top of that, orcs incorporate both in their designs.
